How do I set my e-mail forwarding?
To setup your e-mail forwarding, it is a
very simply operation once you get used to it.
When you log onto your account through ftp.
You must first change to the /usr/home/userid folder where "userid" is changed
to your userid.
Then create a text file called .redirect.
You must create this file with notepad, and then remember to take .txt extension out.
Here is an example of what you have to type
in the file. Let's say you want all the mail sent to wenetco@your-domain.com sent to
webmaster@wenetco.com,you would enter the following in the text file:
wenetco webmaster@wenetco.com
At the bottom of this file, you must always
have the following text:
default userid@your-domain.com
Where the userid part above is replaced with
your userid, and the your-domain.com part is replaced with your domain. Make sure to keep
that default part at the bottom of all the text.
Now simply upload the .redirect file to your
home directory. Once it is uploaded, you will not see it, since it is a hidden file. But
do not worry, it is their. Give it about 5 to 10 minutes and it will start working.
