I am having trouble with my cgi-bin, please help!

This page will give you help on using your cgi. People always have loads of questions about using cgi. So this page will really help.

1). I have uploaded my files, but when I go to www.mydomain.com/cgi-bin/ that does not exist, what am I do wrong? Once you have uploaded your files to your cgi-bin folder. To reach the files, what you have to do is point your browser to www.your-domain.com/cgi-domainname/. For example www.hspro.com/cgi-hspro/.

2). How come my cgi scripts that I have uploaded are not working? We can not give you full support on scripts that you are uploading. We can only give you as much help as we can. Some scripts require you to upload files in ASCII mode, please make sure you are uploading in ASCII mode if it required for the scripts. And some scripts require you to CHMOD (aka setting permissions) files correctly. For scripts you are uploading, we strongly recommend you read over the script manual.

3). How do I CHMOD a file? It depends on what FTP program you are using. First you must right click on the file. And click on any of the following choices: CHMOD, Set Permissions, Set Attributes. Depending on what FTP program you are using, one of those will take you to the CHMOD section.

4). Where is PERL located on the server? To find PERL on the server that you are on. Simply log into telnet, then type:
whereis perl
and it will tell you the location of PERL.
